The 2026 Amateur Net Championship wrapped up at two sites, Steele Canyon GC (Arroyo & Mission) and Singing Hills GC (Pacific & San Andreas), and, despite some inclement weather, four golfers across four flights walked away victorious.
Arroyo Flight
Sunny Bhullar claimed victory in the Arroyo Flight after a clutch birdie (gross) on the final hole. Starting the day in second place, Sunny came out strong with a birdie (net) on no. 2. He would add back-to-back birdies on nos. 8 and 9, one net and one gross, to put him in at -1 heading to the back nine. He would make back-to-back birdies for the second time in his round on nos. 14 and 15 (both net) and finish with another one (gross) on the final hole of the championship to clear the field by two shots and win his flight.
Mission Flight
Radek Ciesielski showed up when the lights shined brightest, carding back-to-back birdies (net) on the final two holes to win the Mission Flight by a single shot. Starting the second and final day in the lead after a first round net 73 (+2), Ciesielski stumbled out of the gate with three bogeys in his first seven holes. A net birdie on no. 9 seemed to get him in his groove as he would go on to birdie no. 10 as well. Despite giving it back with bogeys on nos. 11 and 12, Ciesielski steadied the ship with a run of four straight pars (three net, one gross) before besting runner-up, Marcus Corona, with the back-to-back net birdies on nos. 17 to 18 to win the championship.
Pacific Flight
Nick Ferrante posted an overall net score of -1, tying for top honors in the Pacific Flight and ultimately securing the win after a card-off. Starting the final round one stroke back from the lead, he came out on fire, carding four birdies on the front nine. Locked in a closely contested duel with Dave Dillon, Ferrante’s par on the final hole beat out Dillon’s closing bogey, leaving them tied before Ferrante went on to claim the win in a card-off.
San Andreas Flight
Richard Waitschies took home the trophy for the San Andreas Flight with an overall net -5. After an opening round net 72 (E), Waitschies entered the final round six strokes back. A stunning performance, featuring 11 net birdies in the final round, vaulted him into a tie for first alongside John Kim. The championship, much like the Pacific Flight, went beyond the 18 holes to a card-off that crowned Waitschies the 2026 San Andreas Flight champion. Coincidentally, the opposite occurred last year, when the same duo tied after 36 holes and Kim prevailed by card‑off. This year marked redemption for Waitschies.
