After a first round four-over 76 left Cho six shots back from the leader, Cho came ready to make up ground on the second day of the proceedings. A bogey on Cho’s first hole of the day would drop her down to five-over on the championship, and a birdie on No.15 followed by a bogey on No. 17 would have her stuck at the five-over mark with only nine holes left to turn things around.

Something clicked for Cho as she took the turn, lighting up the scorecard with three birdies in a row to start her back nine, putting her at two-under for the round and dropping her score to two-over for the tournament. Cho would then pick up a birdie on No. 8 to put her at one-over for the championship, giving her the lead for the first time. She would go on to enter the clubhouse with the lead, but a clutch birdie on the final hole from Sherry Wright would force a playoff between the two.

The playoff would begin on No. 10, with both players making par and moving on to No. 11. With both drives finding the fairway, Cho’s approach shot would just leak off the green to the left and wind up on the fringe while Wright’s shot would stick within 10 feet of the hole. With Cho’s ball being farther away, she would be putting first with what at the time seemed like a must-make putt. Cho would drain her sloping putt for birdie, putting all the pressure on Wright who would just pull her putt under the hole, securing Cho the victory on the 38th hole.

Super Senior Division
Kathy Kurata took home the Super Senior Division Championship, besting the rest of her division by three strokes. Kurata played very consistent golf over the course of the championship, avoiding too many bogeys and picking up plenty of pars enroute to claiming the title. A first round 75 and a second round 76 was good enough to finish her championship at seven-over.
