The Women’s Amateur Net Championship, conducted at Skylinks GC, brought together women of all skill levels from across the Southland to compete in the SCGA's first event of the 2026 season. The 48-player field was split into two flights, with one champion emerging from each.

Arroyo Flight

Karen Bridges won the Arroyo Flight by one stroke after a tightly contested championship. After a strong first round that saw her pick up seven net birdies and one net eagle, Bridges entered the final round leading by a single shot at net four under. Despite shooting net three over in the final round, she still recorded five net birdies, which was enough to hold on to the lead and secure the victory

Mission Flight

Jung Modrich ran away with the Mission Flight victory, finishing with a net score of five under. Modrich came out of the gates flying, picking up nine net birdies in her first round to reach net six under heading into the final round. She couldn’t replicate the magic from the first round, but it hardly mattered as she still notched three net birdies and a net eagle, giving her a second-round score of net one over and a total of net five under, good enough for a four-stroke victory.
