For the second consecutive year, a duo of fresh faces grace the top of the leaderboard at the conclusion of the SCGA Four-Ball Championship at La Purisima GC.
The brotherly combo of J.R. and Justo Warthen opened the competition with a solid 6-under 66 and sat in second place, one shot back heading into the final round.
With Torey Edwards/Bret Parker sitting in the pole position after their first-round 7-under 65, the Warthen brothers had some ground to make up.
With Edwards/Parker unable to distance themselves from the competition early, the Warthen duo pounced by rattling off four birdies on the front nine and held on down the stretch to capture victory.
Edwards/Parker finished second, followed by the team of SCGA veterans Tim Hogarth and Corby Segal in third place.
