Due to significant rain that resulted in unplayable course conditions, the 2022 Four-Ball Championship at Soboba Springs GC was cut short after one round. The overnight leaders, Dan Sullivan & Mark Miller, were deemed champions after collaborating to shoot eight-under 64 in their first round. The duo is seemingly built to win, as Sullivan/Miller have now captured their fifth team title together. They've won the Foursomes championship four times, which includes the back-to-back titles in past two years.
Their lone round in this championship yielded nine birdies, the last of them coming on No. 18 in what was eventually the championship clinching putt. Before the rain washed out round two, Sullivan and Miller held a one stroke lead over the field, though ten teams were right on their heels, trailing by two strokes or less. Seven teams finished T2 at seven-under.
