Patrick Rohan emerged victorious in the 2015 SCGA Super Senior Championship held at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in Ojai on Tuesday afternoon.
Battling the challenging course set-up, players were unable to post many low scores. In fact, after round one, only two players were in red numbers after carding 69s. They were Stephen Rhorer and Paul Shimoff, who were tied for the lead heading overnight, but Rohan lurked one shot behind after shooting a 70 on Monday.
Rohan played consistently on Tuesday, sinking three birdies en route to a final round 72 and his title-clinching total of 142. Frank Merhar fell just short, finishing in second-place with a 143 while Lachlan Hough and Rich Tolly both carded 144.
In the Super Senior Net Championship, held down the road at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai, two flights of players competed in the two-day championship.
The Bobby Jones Flight champion was George Allen, who parlayed his first round 70 with a final round 69 for a total of 139. The Jack Nicklaus Flight crown was taken home by Thomas Wong, whose total of 134 was four strokes better than the nearest competitor.
