As first time Women's Four-Ball competitors, Wendy Ohlmeyer and Kelly Ly tore up Desert Willow GR and cruised to a wire-to-wire victory on Tuesday.
The tone was set early on with a first-round 62 (30 on the front nine) from the Shady Canyon GC duo. Ly, who won the 2023 SCGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship, shot a 65 on her own in round one with six birdies and an eagle to contribute eight red numbers to her team's effort. Ohlmeyer picked up a couple birdies herself to get her team in prime position at ten-under heading into round two.
A pair of SCGA Junior Club teams, Charlene Wu/Isabella Woo (-6) and Jessica Hudson/Summer Schafer (-7), were the next closest chasing the overnight leaders.

But all it took was a hot start on Tuesday from Ohlmeyer and Ly to dramatically expand the gap between them and the rest of the field. To initiate scoring in the second round, Ohlmeyer contributed a pair of birdies over the first six holes, followed by consecutive birdies from Ly on holes 7 and 8 to bring her team to 14-under. The deficit became too much to overcome for the SCGA Junior Club teams, as Ly rolled in one more birdie on No. 14 to all but seal the win.
Isabella Wu and Charlene Woo (66-67) secured runner-up honors, partially thanks to Woo holing out for eagle on No. 9. Wu also rolled in three birdies on the back as the duo finished at 11-under. Hudson and Schafer took home solo third, coming in at ten-under.
