Running concurrently with the Public Links Championship at Brookside GC, the Public Links Net Championship offers two competitive flights and features golfers of all skill levels who belong to a public or affiliate golf club.
Arroyo Flight
Entering the championship as a plus handicap, SCGA Junior Club member Aidan Weinrot emerged as the Arroyo Flight champion with rounds of 69 and 68. He was T2 after one round and went on an especially hot stretch from hole 8-15 where he collected six birdies and seized the solo lead. That ended up making the difference as Weinrot finished at seven-under.
Mission Flight
Stephen Collins got it done in the Mission Flight with a pair of 70’s. He shot the low round of the day on Tuesday to help clinch a two-stroke victory, finishing at four-under and overcoming a two-stroke deficit as he went into the final round.
