SAN GABRIEL, CA (December 12, 2024) — Team Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) claimed the championship for the 2024 Honors Matches with a team score of (40.0-32.0) over Team Southern California PGA (SCPGA) hosted at San Gabriel Country Club.

Since 2007, the Honors Matches have showcased the best amateurs of Southern California who represent the SCGA and take on the SCPGA Professional in the 16-person teams. It marks the first year that the Honors Matches combined the men and women on both sides to make up the teams of 16 (8 men, 8 women), respectively. The event is a biennial hosted on the even years.

Team SCGA emerged victorious during the final day in Singles, with a score of (29.50-18.50) to win the two-day event (42.0-32.0).

A special thank you to Cutter & Buck for donating uniforms to both teams for the matches.

A big thank you to San Gabriel Country Club and to PGA Professionals Alistair Philip (Head Golf Professional), and John Fisher (Assistant Professional), as well as the San Gabriel Country Club membership for their hospitality and support with these matches.
