The 2025 Amateur Net Championship wrapped up at Soboba Springs GC and four champions were named. Light rain and cloud coverage both days didn’t damper a great event. All flights had contenders near the top that kept the competition close deep into the back nine.
Arroyo Flight
Jack Hussain took the hardware home for the 2025 SCGA Amateur Net Championship Arroyo Flight. He started the final round six strokes off the lead but with three net birdies and a net eagle on his 18th hole, there was no denying the comeback. A final round 69 sealed the deal for Hussain as he captured his first SCGA championship.
Mission Flight
After trying to qualify for the Amateur Net Championship the last twenty years, Kyle Ludington not only qualified but is going home the champion of the Mission Flight. Ludington was only one stroke back going into the final round and tied for first alongside Adam Buffini, ultimately winning in a card-off as a result of his better back nine.
Pacific Flight
A final round net score of 70 brought Marcus Corona to the top of the podium in the Pacific Flight. He started the final round two strokes back. A birdie on the 18th hole secured Corona the lead and his first SCGA Championship win in just two starts.
San Andreas Flight
John Kim took the trophy for the San Andreas Flight. After an opening round net 76, Kim entered the final round five strokes back. Five birdies in the final round brought him to tied for first alongside Richard Waitschies. The title came down to the wire but a card-off deemed John the 2025 champion.
