Decorated SCGA veteran Craig Steinberg added another SCGA championship to his resume, winning the fifth Annual Senior Tournament of Club Champions at Palos verdes GC. Steinberg, who was representing North Ranch CC, was able to hold off Mark Harding of Hacienda GC, winning on the 2nd playoff hole and securing his second Senior Tournament of Club Champions title. Steinberg won the inaugural event in 2013 at Industry Hills GC.
Steinberg was steady on a brisk and windy day on the peninsula, carding three bogeys and a birdie en route to a final score of 2-over par 73. Runner-up Harding finished his round with a highlight eagle on the par-5 fifth hole, a birdie, three bogeys and a double bogey. Finishing in a tie for third place was Ken Weixel of The Santaluz Club and John Mack of Red Hill CC, who each shot 3-over par 73. Twenty-three players finished within five shots of the lead.
