Stevenson High School of Pebble Beach successfully defended its crown at the 2026 CIF State Boys High School Championship at San Gabriel Country Club, claiming a second consecutive state title. Individually, Drue Sanchez of De La Salle High School took home the title with an impressive 5-under 66, finishing two shots clear of the field.

Starting on No. 10, Drue Sanchez got off to a fast start, carding three birdies over his first four holes to move into the early lead. Bogeys on Nos. 15 and 17 brought him back to 1-under heading into the final nine holes of his high school season. Sanchez opened his back nine with consecutive birdies before a bogey on No. 3 dropped him to 2-under with six holes remaining.

Sanchez regained sole possession of the top spot with a birdie on No. 4 before adding back-to-back birdies on Nos. 6 and 7 to create separation from the field. A closing par on No. 9 capped off a 5-under 66 and secured the 2026 CIF State Boys High School Championship title for Sanchez.

Rounding out the individual medalists are Levi Reilly (-3), Zachary Hawkins (-2), Romeo Juarez (-2), Griffin Didier (-2) and William Chang (-2). With his top-six finish, Romeo Juarez recorded the best result ever by an LA City Section player at the CIF State Boys High School Championship.
