AiLam Newkirk, of Newport Beach, and Jamie Hoffmann, of Escondido, etched their names in history as the inaugural champions of the Senior Division at the 2025 SCGA Women’s Four-Ball Championships, this past Saturday at Black Gold GC.
Newkirk and Hoffmann entered the final day with a two-stroke lead. They rode the momentum to finish at 6-under-par, six shots clear of the two-way tie for second between Camilla Johnson and Mary Budke, and Kathy Kurata and Colette Rosenberg.
In their final round, the duo made three birdies on the front nine and two on the back to finish at 6-under-par for the championship.
