The 2026 SCGA Women’s Team Play campaign came to a conclusion on Tuesday, May 28, at Strawberry Farms GC with Las Posas CC capturing the Gross Division crown while Glendora CC would take home the Net Division title.
The Gross Division Championship was a hard-fought battle that would see Las Posas CC ascend to the summit of the 2026 SCGA Women's Team Play Championship. After taking down Mulholland Hills CC and last year's champions Wood Ranch GC en route to the championship, Las Posas CC would find themselves up against a tough final hurdle in Western Hills CC. With the final match ending with both teams level up at six points a team, a tie breaker would be needed to crown the 2026 Gross Division champion. Las Posas CC would come out on top in the tie-break and claim the 2026 SCGA Women’s Team Play Gross Division title.
Glendora CC would take home the 2026 Net Division Championship by taking down North Ranch CC by a score of 9-3. After taking care of Oakmont CC in the quarterfinals, Glendora CC would face their biggest test of the playoffs tying Candlewood CC 6-6 before coming out with the win in a tiebreaker. They would have a much more relaxing time in the championship match, claiming the lead early and holding onto it for the rest of the day to win the 2026 SCGA Women’s Team Play Net Division title.
SCGA Women’s Team Play is quickly becoming one of the SCGA’s most popular programs to provide match play competition for women.
