After two exciting days of competition at Black Gold Golf Club, Addison Kloch and Mitzi Duarte delivered a wire-to-wire performance to claim the 2026 SCGA Women’s Four-Ball Championship, finishing one stroke clear of the field.
Starting early Friday morning, Kloch and Duarte wasted no time finding their rhythm. The pair opened with birdies on Nos. 2 and 3 and continued their strong play with additional birdies on Nos. 6 and 8 to reach 4-under par through their first nine holes of the championship.
While the front nine was impressive, the duo truly separated themselves on the back side. Three consecutive birdies to begin the inward nine pushed them to 7-under through 12 holes, and additional birdies on Nos. 15 and 18 capped off a remarkable opening round. Most impressively, Kloch and Duarte navigated all 18 holes without a bogey, posting a sensational 9-under-par round and building a three-stroke advantage heading into the final day.
The leaders carried that momentum into the final round, birdieing three of their first four holes to improve to 12-under par through 21 holes. Although a bogey on No. 5 marked their first blemish of the championship, they responded immediately with back-to-back birdies to keep control of the tournament. Another bogey on No. 8 followed by a par on No. 9 resulted in a 3-under front nine and maintained their position atop the leaderboard at 12-under overall.
With the championship hanging in the balance, the back nine provided plenty of drama. Pars and bogeys were hard-earned as the field continued to apply pressure, and a bogey on No. 13 narrowed the margin. As the leaderboard tightened coming down the stretch, Duarte stepped up in a pivotal moment, rolling in a birdie on No. 17 that ultimately proved to be the difference and secured the title by a single stroke.
Both players played integral roles in the championship victory. Kloch contributed seven birdies over the two days while also making two crucial par saves on the back nine of the final round. Duarte matched that effort and then some, recording an incredible 13 birdies throughout the championship, including two separate stretches of three consecutive birdies.
Together, the pair combined explosive scoring with steady play under pressure, producing a championship performance that was just enough to hold off a determined field and earn them the 2026 SCGA Women’s Four-Ball championship.
