The 2nd SCGA Women’s Amateur Net Championship took place at Victoria Club, featuring ladies of all skill levels from across the Southland competing for all the marbles in two separate flights.
Arroyo Flight
Halle Young took the crystal trophy in this flight with her net even-par 73 effort in the final round to finish 7-over overall. Soran Lim (8-over) finished runner-up with a 1-over, 74 in her final round. Mikie Alpert (9-over), Ann Barber-Zagozda (10-over) and Susan Blu (10-over) round out the top-5.
Mission Flight
Marcy Luikart trailed by three strokes heading into the final day, two net eagles on the back-9 secured her first-place finishing at 8-over. Veda Brown playing at her home club finished runner-up at 11-over. Bonnie Roohk, Esther McKinley and Samantha Widdicombe also finished top-5.
