The 2024 SCGA Women's Team Play season came to a close with Woodland Hills CC becoming first-time Team Play champions, as it defeated Black Gold GC, 8-4, in the season finale at Aviara GC. Anchored by three four-ball match victories, Woodland Hills CC lost just one of the six matches to take home the crystal. The tone was set early as the club picked up two of those wins in the first two matches thanks to the sides of Lauren Suzuki/Wendy Michaels and Dee Lawrence/Ilsa Waters.
Mihui Cho and Hannah Gold accounted for the third match victory. Kathleen Strong/Tamiko Handlin and Nancy Mundy/Yung-Shin Kim each notched a point for the team as well with ties in their matches. This championship is the culmination of a months-long season and postseason race to the top. The Woodland Hills team notched six wins on the year and collected the second-most regular season points to set themselves up for a title run.
