Three winners were anointed over the past two days at the SCGA Four-Ball Net Championship at Mission Hills CC.
In the Arroyo Flight, Mug Ogg and Daniela Schellenberg faced a five-stroke deficit heading into round two. The duo kept chipping away, with the help of a pair of net-eagles from Ogg, and eventually came out victorious. The Escena GC members fired a net-65 in their final 18, tying the lowest round in their flight.
In the Mission Flight, OK Hee Suh and Mijin Namgoong of Tijeras Creek GC and Skylinks GC successfully defended their title. Similar to their 2021 championship, the duo posted an incredible net ten-under 62 in the first round to establish themselves at the top of the leaderboard. A second-round 66 sealed the deal, as Suh and Namgooing finished 16-under par to win by 10 strokes.
In the Mountain Flight, Faye Murray and Dottie Rountree similarly carded a 62 to start. Although Kelly DeMello and Kim Greco threatened to come back on the final day, a net-eagle from Murray on Hole No. 16 all but secured the victory for the Red Hill CC members. Murray and Roundtree finished at 15-under par for a three-stroke victory.
