A team consisting of new blood and the 2013 Foursomes champion came out fighting at the 17th Annual Foursomes Championship, but only needed one playoff hole at Morgan Run Club & Resort to capture the title.

Erik Jarvey (Lancaster) followed veteran Dick Engel's (Palmdale) lead, finishing 4-under alongside the San Diego duo, Jeff Koprivetz and Pete Williams.

With a fairly strong first push shooting 70 on Monday, Jarvey and Engel answered that 1-under par with a stunning 3-under par on Tuesday. After that, it was a battle between Desert and Coast in a sudden-death playoff, ending in a victory for the Desert duo.

In addition to the playoff, this victory was no easy feat. Behind the leaders was a star-studded field including 2018 champions Scotland Schmidt and Elijah Poppers, along with SCGA favorites, Dan Sullivan and Corby Segal.

The leader and runner-up teams fled from the pack, with Corby Segal and Stephen Hale finishing four strokes behind at even par, taking third place among two other groups.
