In a rematch of the 2022 championship, Mountaingate CC successfully defended its title at Aviara GC, defeating North Ranch CC, 9-3, to claim back-to-back Women's Team Play championships. This marks the club's third championship in five years, as Mountaingate continued its impressive and dominant stretch. Cruising through the quarterfinal and semifinal matches with 10-2 victories in each, the team rattled off four victories in its first four four-ball matches to start the championship match on Sunday. After tying the fifth, dropping the sixth and final match did not deter the eventual champions.
This championship is the culminating event of months-long season that began with 28 teams split into seven groups. Mountaingate CC finished in first place in its group with a 3-1-2 record. Calabasas CC remained unblemished throughout the regular season, recording a perfect 6-0 record before falling in the quarterfinals to Sunset Hills CC. North Ranch CC's path to the finals involved a tight win over Woodland Hills in the quarterfinals, 7-5, before sending Sunset Hills CC home in the semis with an 8-4 victory.
