After its cancellation in 2020, the Public Links Net Championship made its illustrious return at Pasadena’s finest, Brookside GC, alternating on Course’s #1 & #2. This championship featured players of all skills levels broken down in three separate flights.
Representing Griffith Park GC, Andres Salazar narrowly took home the crystal in the Arroyo Flight, finishing at +3 overall. Alan Chuang (Brookside GC) took home second place, with Tommy Handojo placing third.
It was a one-man show in the Mission Flight, as the only net player to finish in red figures, Imran Khanmohamed of Recreation Park GC cruised to a five-shot victory. Abraham Han (+1) and Robert Scotland (+2) round out the top-three.
The Pacific Flight provided some entertainment, with four-players finishing at 6-over, turning to the USGA-method of matching scorecards to determine a winner. Lakewood GC’s Jorge Menendez back-9 score of 43 served pivotal, earning himself first place. Steve Reese (Mickey Mouse GL) placed second, while Matt Lesenyie (El Dorado Park GC) finished in third.
