2018 Women's Four-Ball Net Championship Recap: Five Duos Earn Flight Titles

May 8, 2018

Results

After two days of high-intensity battle in the Palm Desert sunshine, five duos were crowned victorious in the SCGA Women’s Four-Ball Net Championship.

In the Arroyo Flight, Kimberly Stanick and Linda Story of Bella Collina T&GC finished atop after two days of best-ball play. Their 9-under total was two shots better than a slew of competitors at 7-under.

In the Mission Flight, Jan Naylor and Sheila Telliard used a back-nine 5-under, including back-to-back eagles to catapult themselves to a 17-under total and a flight win.

There was a tie and a card-off in the Mountain Flight which awarded Lori Stampfl and Arlene Carcelero the honor of flight medalist. The duo’s back-nine 8-under propelled them to victory over Midge Pfrenzinger/Soyoung Kim, as both tied at 20-under total.

Sandy Bradley and Judy Moses of Coto de Caza GC ran away with the Pacific Flight, posting a 14-under total – three strokes better than the closest pursuer.

In the San Andreas Flight, Soon Tak Chun/Christina Sheen of Palos Verdes GC used a slow and steady pace to rack up a 16-under total, two shots better than three teams tied for second place.
